Diuvs De Jesus is a marine scientist with a strong background in research, environmental management, and community‑based conservation.

With a Master of Science in Marine Science, major in Marine Biology, from the University of the Philippines Diliman, he has worked in both academe and the NGO sector supporting science‑driven efforts to protect the country’s coastal and marine resources. His experience spans coral reef and fisheries research, MPA management, and fieldwork across diverse coastal communities. Diuvs is also among the first scientists to dive in the Philippine Rise, witnessing its incredible deep‑sea coral ecosystems firsthand.​

Diuvs loves traveling and exploring the Philippines, from ridge to reef, whether he’s hiking, birdwatching, or diving. His love for nature and adventure fuels the same passion he brings to advocating for healthy oceans and resilient communities. At the end of the day, he recharges by cuddling with his dogs. ​
