Chiara is an award-winning and distinguished multimedia journalist who has built a reputation for her courageous, thoughtful and tenacious reporting – especially when she  covered complex national stories as a senior news correspondent for ABS-CBN,  the country’s biggest media network. 

A storyteller at heart,  she has produced award-winning documentaries and stories on urban conflict, inviting audiences to view violent extremism and communist armed struggle through a human lens. She has also told stories from the tension-riddled West Philippine Sea, always giving human context to geopolitics while keeping a firm hold on factual depth.​

​Her most recent engagement was with the UN Office for Project Services where she led all communication efforts for a justice reform program initiative in the country. In addition to her field experience, Chiara holds a BA  Communications degree as well as MA degrees in Journalism from Ateneo de Manila,  and Documentary  by Practice from the Royal Holloway University of London. ​

​As our Communications Director, Chiara will shift from reporting the story to helping shape and tell ours and those of the communities and stakeholders we work with. We are confident that her experience and background in nuanced storytelling and her deep understanding of the Philippine media landscape will be a tremendous asset to our team and our mission. ​
