Abbu—named after the very first word she spoke as a child—brings over a decade of experience in content creation and execution across print, television, digital media, and even the world of theater.

Her early immersion in stage work, from script development to production management, sharpened her instinct for storytelling and visual narrative, forming the creative backbone of her career. A graduate of International Studies from Miriam College, she went on to build a strong writing and editorial portfolio in both private and government sectors, including work with the Department of Agriculture–Bureau of Agricultural Research and later as a close‑in writer and media relations officer for former Vice President Jejomar Binay.​

​Before joining Oceana, Abbu served in the Office of the Vice President under Leni Robredo, where she supported communications and storytelling efforts from 2016 onward. She is a proud and devoted Nanay to two girls, and when she isn’t crafting narratives, she spends her time with her family—the source of her drive, creativity, and heart.​
