Badi Samaniego

Badi R. Samaniego has a PhD in Environmental Science, focusing his research on reef fish ecology and marine protected areas. He has traveled to remote reef locations in the Pacific from the Galapogos Islands, French Polynesia, and the Coral Triangle, up to the Indian Ocean in Chagos, British Indian Ocean Territory. He looks at the structure of fish communities and how these differ with varying reef conditions and types, degrees of disturbance, and levels of management. His other interests include coastal resources management, biodiversity assessment, and impact assessment.
